The first signing for the Bemmel women’s team has been secured in the form of Bo Teulings. The 22-year-old Teulings began her career at EBBC in her home town of Den Bosch and then moved to Almonte in Eindhoven, where she played in the VU20 Eredivisie, among other things. In 2017 she came to Lekdetec.nl on a talent licence to play in the Eredivisie, before making the full move to Bemmel. After three seasons, Teulings followed her dream in 2020 and moved to the United States to play at Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma, returning to Lekdetec.nl after three seasons there.
Bo is really looking forward to her return to De Kooi: “During my time in Bemmel I always had a great time and really felt at home, so I’m looking forward to coming back. Although it was sometimes really tough, the USA brought me a lot of good things. I learned an enormous amount about myself, and because I played for different universities I also saw a lot of the USA. I’ve just graduated and I’m really excited to come back to Bemmely Hills!”
“Over the past few weeks I’ve had conversations with the current players and possible new signings. The conversation with Bo was great from the start, there was a real click, and it’s a big advantage that she already knows us and the organisation,” says Mark Hooiveld, coach of Lekdetec.nl.
The squad currently consists of: Rinske Scholten, Yordi Kathmann, Lisanne de Jonge, Yfke Hoek, Brechte Norel, Asa Kantebeen and Bo Teulings. We expect to present the rest of the squad in the coming weeks.
