Privacy statement
GET United respects your privacy and processes personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This statement explains which data we process, for what purpose, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible?
The controller for the processing of personal data through this website is Stichting Basketball Community Gelderland (Dutch Chamber of Commerce no. 61321087), registered at p/a Sportcentrum de Kooi, Sportlaan 3, 6681 CD Bemmel, the Netherlands, and publicly known as GET United. You can reach us at info@unitedbasketball.nl.
What data we process and why
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we process your name, email address, subject and message. We use this data solely to answer your question and get in touch with you.
- Lawful basis: your consent, given by submitting the form.
- Retention: we keep your message for at most 360 days, after which it is deleted.
- Processor: we use Lettermint to send email. See our cookie policy and “Sharing with third parties” below.
Livestream tip form
If you submit a stream link through the livestreams page, we process the link, the team and/or club you name, and any notes you add. An email address is optional; if you enter one, we use it only to ask a question about your tip.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give by sending the form.
- Retention: we keep your tip for at most 360 days and then delete it.
- Processors: we use Lettermint to send email. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are not a bot; that check loads a script from Cloudflare and sets no cookies.
Responding to a vacancy
If you respond through the vacancies page, we process your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the role you choose and your motivation. Your response is emailed to Steven Teunissen, our General Manager, and you receive a confirmation yourself. We use these details solely to get in touch with you about the role.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give by sending the form.
- Retention: we keep your response until no later than four weeks after the process has ended, unless you agree that we keep it longer for a future role.
- Processors: we use Lettermint to send email. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are not a bot; that check loads a script from Cloudflare and sets no cookies.
Requesting a clinic or corporate event
If you request a clinic, training or corporate event through one of our clinic pages, we process the name of your organisation, your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and the details of your request (such as preferred date, number of participants and your message). Your request is emailed to Steven Teunissen, our General Manager, and you receive a confirmation yourself. We use these details solely to handle your request and organise the clinic or event with you.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give by sending the form.
- Retention: we keep your request for as long as needed to organise the clinic or event, and no longer than one year after that. If you request a clinic as a club, we show your club's name and the date on the website once the date is confirmed.
- Processors: we use Lettermint to send email. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are not a bot; that check loads a script from Cloudflare and sets no cookies.
Signing up provisionally for the Lundaspelen
If you sign up provisionally for the tournament through the Lundaspelen page, we process the player's name, the team, your answer, the email address you give, any questions or comments and, for players in MU14 up to MU19, the name of a parent or guardian as their consent. If your school still has to approve or you ask for a letter for your school, we also process the name of your school and of your coordinator or mentor, so we can address the letter. Your sign-up is emailed to our tournament address (toernooi@getunited.basketball) and you receive a confirmation yourself. We use these details solely to organise the trip.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give by sending the form. For players under 16, a parent or guardian gives that consent.
- Retention: we keep your sign-up until the tournament is over and delete it no later than three months after the return journey (6 January 2027).
- Processors: we use Lettermint to send email. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are not a bot; that check loads a script from Cloudflare and sets no cookies.
Visitor statistics
This website uses no visitor statistics or analytics. We do not measure how you use the site and do not track you. That is also why there is no cookie banner.
Player data
Player profiles (photo, personal details and statistics) are published only with the explicit consent of the player, or of a parent/guardian for minors. Consent can be given or withheld per item (profile, photo, statistics, press) and can be withdrawn later. Without consent we do not show the data concerned.
Member registration
New members can register through the registration page. The registration form on that page is provided by Foys, our membership administration system. The details you enter there (such as name and contact details) go directly from your browser to Foys and are used solely for membership administration. This website does not store those details itself. When you confirm your registration, the form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent abuse; your browser loads a script from Google and Google receives your IP address. The form — and with it reCAPTCHA — therefore only loads after you have given consent on the registration page itself; you can withdraw that consent there as well. Rather not at all? You can also register by email via info@unitedbasketball.nl. See also our cookie policy.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. For the contrast setting (default, soft or high) we store your preference in your browser’s local storage. This is functional storage that stays on your own device, is not shared with us or third parties, and needs no consent. Read more in our cookie policy.
Sharing with third parties
We use the following processors, solely to run the website:
- Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of the website.
- Lettermint — sending email from the contact form, the livestream tip form, the vacancy form, the clinic request forms and the Lundaspelen sign-up form.
- Foys — membership administration; processes the details new members enter in the registration form.
We never sell your data and do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your data;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- withdraw your consent;
- object to a processing;
- lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@unitedbasketball.nl.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Traffic to this website is encrypted over HTTPS.
Changes
We may update this privacy statement when the website or the law requires it. The current version is always on this page.
