Dutch talents complete Yoast United squad

The Yoast United squad is complete: alongside the 9 professional players, Dutch talents from the United Academy and players from the Dreamfields Dolphins have been added to the roster.

From the United Academy, Quincy Biliosa, Pepijn Vermeulen, Tom Arends and Jens Besselink will join training. From the Dreamfields Dolphins, that is Winston Hoft.

Winston Hoft, Pepijn Vermeulen and Quincy Biliosa will be regular additions to the Yoast United match-day squad, provided they have no game with the Dreamfields Dolphins or United Academy.

Assistant coach Jeroen van Vugt, who also coaches the United Academy’s MU22, calls it a great development for the youth talents: “The Academy boys really do come from the region and are now making the step up to the first team — that’s a nice and important step for the United Academy. We of course have a great programme combining the United Academy, Dreamfields Dolphins and Yoast United. Each week we can look at where it’s best for the talent to join in.”

“Connecting the United Academy with the senior teams has been an important theme for us this summer. Of course the focus is on building a team that can hold its own in the BNXT League, but young players are the future. Together with coaches Paul and Jeroen we looked at how we can link our talents to Yoast United, where it’s also very important that the pros take the youth under their wing as genuine role models,” says René van der Wielen, Technical Manager at Yoast United.

Over the past two weeks the youth players have already been training extensively alongside several of Yoast United’s Dutch players. From early September the foreign players will also join in: Francis Lācis and Logan Schilder will join straight away. Vincent Cole and Spencer Levi are still waiting on their work permits.
